Course description
Blue Course 39 km/35 km
This course runs partly alongside the lake “Södra Bergunda sjön” next to a housing area. The course consists of mainly gravel and forest paths. This is a popular recreation area so look out for pedestrians! Class 3 rides this course twice, the fist time the riders in these classes will take an extra loop in the nature reserve “Bokhultet” to make the course 39 Km. There will be officials there to avoid any misunderstandings. All the other classes will follow the ordinary course route of 35 km. This course will be marked with blue strips.
Yellow Course30 km
This course goes south from the competition area and then in a route back to the vet gate. The course consists of mainly gravel and forest paths. Along this course the riders will pass the competition area once and turn left at the church in “Begunda”. The second time the riders approach the competition area it is time for vet gate. This course is ridden by class 1,2,3 & 4.
This course will be marked with yellow strips.
Red Course16 km
This course has the same route as the first part of the yellow course and all classes will ride this course. This course will be marked with red strips.
Purple Course 36 km/33km
This course starts at the”Naturbruksgymnasiet” in ”Ingelstad” and it is class 1 and 2 that rides this course. The first part of the course mainly consists of gravel and forest paths in and around “Ingelstad”. There is a longer asphalt passage right before you enter the old railway embankment. At the embankment it is absolutely prohibited to ride anywhere else then in the middle of it. If any riders fail to do this, they will be disqualified from the competition. The riders in class 2 will ride the longer route of this course and will do an lap at “Dänningeborg” There will be officials there to avoid any misunderstandings. The later part of this course will follow the same route as the blue course. This course will be marked with pink strips.
Other useful information
Course indicators will consist of A4 signs with arrows on them and strips in the same colour as each course. Many of the courses are on the same paths so sometimes you will meet riders going in the other direction. You have to remember that the course indicator should always be on your right. The course consists of mainly gravel and forest paths with some passage of asphalt. There are some longer walking passages (at Sevedsäng, Torpa and.Bergunda kyrka) It is important that you respect this and always be careful when you pass over or through courtyards. There are places marked with a (M) on the map, these are the only places where you are allowed to groom the horses. It is absolutely prohibited to groom elsewhere and the teams that do so will be disqualified. It is especially important that you do not drive with the groom cars on the road “Slätterydsvägen”
